First Team Head Coach: Stephanie Cleaves

Coaching Staff

Stephanie Cleaves is entering her 9th season on Lancaster Inferno’s pro-am coaching staff, and 4th season as head coach of the First Team which competes in the USL W League.

In her rookie season as head coach, she led the team to their third national championship tournament appearance in the UWS national pro-am league and was named 2023 East Conference Coach of the Year. In her second season, Coach Steph led Lancaster Inferno to playoffs in their inaugural USL W League season with a record of 10-2-1. She was nationally recognized for the team’s accomplishments and named the 2024 USL W League Coach of the Year.

Coach Steph was previously a player on the team, and was appointed Associate Head Coach from 2017-2019. Alongside then head coach, Francisco Cleaves, she helped lead the team to earn two consecutive East Conference Championship titles and UWS National tournament appearances.

A graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, Stephanie began coaching during her final seasons as a collegiate player at Houghton University. She represented Honduras as a member of its Women’s National Team from 2010-13. Coach Steph has 5 years of experience as an assistant coach at the NCAA Division III level. In addition, she coached ODP for 5 years and has coached travel soccer since 2014. Coach Steph holds a USSF B License.


First Team Asst. Coach, U23 Asst. Coach, USL Academy Head Coach: Wendell Hannaford

Coaching Staff

Wendell Hannaford is entering his 6th season with Lancaster Inferno’s pro-am staff.

Coach Wendell led Inferno’s U23 Team to three conference titles in UWS League Two (2021, 2022 & 2024). He was also named back-to-back Mid-Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year in 2021 & 2022. As part of the First Team’s coaching staff in 2023, he helped lead them to their third national championship tournament appearance in United Women’s Soccer (UWS) in 2023 and USL W League playoffs in 2024.

A graduate of Albright College, Wendell played goalkeeper and currently holds the career record for “Most Shutouts.” He was an assistant coach with both the Men’s and Women’s soccer teams at Albright College from 2009-2012. Wendell has been the head coach of the Warwick HS Girls Varsity team since 2016 and was named Coach of the Year in 2022. He has been serving as a member of the ODP staff since 2015, and has been coaching travel soccer since 2011. Coach Wendell holds a USSF C License and United Soccer Coaches Director of Coaching diploma.


First Team Asst. Coach: Adam Johnny Morris

Coaching Staff

Adam Johnny Morris is entering his 3rd season as assistant coach of the First Team, and previously assisted the U20 Team in 2023. He is a former professional soccer player that has over 20 years of coaching experience, and holds a UEFA C License.

Adam has been the Head Coach of Donegal HS Girls Varsity Soccer Team since 2022, and the Head Coach for Milton Hershey Middle School Boys Soccer Team since 2014. He was the ODP Assistant Coach to Teresa Rook from 2014-17 and has been coaching youth travel soccer since 2014. Overseas, Adam was the UK Soccer™ Program Development from 2005-2007, Mid Wales Ladies (senior side) from 2004-05, and Newtown AFC Manager in Wales from 2003-05.

Adam played professionally for Port Vale F.C. in England from 1995-1998 and Aberystwyth Town F.C. in Wales from 1998-2001. He was also a Player/Coach at Rhayader Town F.C. in Wales from 2000-03. As a youth player, Adam spent time training with clubs including Newtown FC, Shrewsbury Town, Telford United, Manchester United, and Aston Villa.


U23 Assistant Coach: Kyle Diem

Coaching Staff

Kyle Diem has been promoted to U23 head coach after 3 seasons on our pro-am coaching staff, previously serving as U23 assistant in 2025, and U20 head coach from 2023-24. He has also coached with Lancaster Inferno FC’s 09 team since 2022.

Diem’s collegiate career started at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC, where he played on the soccer team his freshman year. He then transferred and graduated from York College of PA with a Bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies. While playing soccer at York College, his team was ranked in the top 10 at the Division III level.

As a native of Lancaster County, Diem played at Nether Providence and LANCO United for youth club soccer. At Pequea Valley High School, Diem was a 2x LL-League All-Star and helped lead his team to the Section Championship and two District Championships. Coach Kyle has over 10 years experience as a club coach at various organizations in Lancaster County and holds a USSF C License.


Assistant Coach - First Team: Courtney Browning

Coaching Staff

Courtney Browning is entering her first season as assistant coach of Lancaster Inferno.

Courtney Browning has been an Assistant Coach for Lebanon Valley’s Women’s Soccer team since 2023. Browning has extensive soccer experience as both a coach and athlete. Before joining the coaching staff for the Dutchmen, she was an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach for King’s College for two seasons.

Browning was a four-year member of the Division II Kutztown University Women’s Soccer team. During her time with the Golden Bears, the program appeared in the NCAA Division II Tournament from 2016-2018. In 2016, the team won the Atlantic Region Championship and appeared in the Final Four. Browning earned the program’s Women’s Soccer Coaches Award in 2018, and she received the Division II Athletics Director Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award from 2017-2019. Browning was also named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete from 2016-2019. In addition, Browning played at the Pro-Am level from 2018-2021.

Browning holds various coaching certifications, such as a USSF C Coaching License, a TOVO V-1 Positional Play Certification, a TOVO T-2 Positional Play Certification, a USC 11v11 Coaching Diploma, a USC 7v7/9v9 Coaching Diploma, a USC 4v4 Diploma, and a Dan Tudor Collegiate Recruiting Certification. She has also completed an APFC Positional Play Course, TOVO Preparation and Activation Course, TOVO Grassroots Coach Course, TOVO 11 A-Side Coaching Course.


Goalkeeper Coach: Kenny Archer

Coaching Staff

Kenny Archer is entering his fourth season as Goalkeeper Coach Lancaster Inferno’s First Team and U23 Team. He also served as assistant coach for Inferno’s U23 Team in 2023.

Coach Kenny has over 20 years of experience coaching various levels from youth to college. He has spent over 12 years training goalkeepers and teams at various youth soccer clubs in the area, as well as the Nook Sports Futsal Academy. In addition, Kenny served as Head Coach and Goalkeeper Trainer for the Girls and Boys Soccer Programs at both Coatesville Area HS and Elizabethtown Area HS. He then moved on to Goalkeeper Coach for the Men’s Teams at Elizabethtown College and Penn State University – Harrisburg.

Kenny had a successful playing career at Penn State University – Berks, where he was EPCC All Conference Goalkeeper and led the team to the Conference Championship and Semifinal. Coach Kenny holds a USSF D License and the NSCAA Advanced National License. He also has a BS in Psychology from Penn State, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from West Chester University, and a Coaching Psychology Certificate from the University of Colorado.


Director of Performance: Chris Weibel

Coaching Staff

Our Director of Performance, Chris Weibel, has been part of Lancaster Inferno’s pro-am coaching staff since 2014. He has worked with our athletes with a focus on injury mitigation and was part of our staff that led the team to three national championship tournament appearances and three conference championship titles (2018, 2019, 2023).

The Houghton University alum has over 15 years of experience leading speed & agility training for athletes at the youth, high school, collegiate, post-collegiate, and national team level. Chris previously worked at Lancaster County Christian School as PE Teacher, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Varsity Basketball Coach, and was the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Veritas Academy from 2011-2018, where he recorded the most wins in the school’s history.

Chris has served as the Director of Performance for Lancaster Inferno’s girls soccer academy since 2022.
