We are committed to equipping each player with the skills necessary so they can reach their goals through high school, college and professional.
Do you want your daughter to get individual attention? Are you tired of trying to figure out the multiple levels of teams per age group that most clubs have? Join us at Lancaster Inferno FC, where our approach of one team per age group allows us to focus on each player’s individual development.
We have a player-centered approach and comprehensive program to not only develop great soccer players, but strong leaders on and off the field. We pride ourselves in our professionalism and fostering a positive, supportive and challenging learning environment. We strive to cultivate a sense of community within the club, where our teams support and cheer one another on as part of the Inferno family.
Lancaster Inferno FC is Pennsylvania’s only all-girls soccer club that provides a player pathway from youth to pre-professional. We’re part of the USL Academy which is the only national girls academy league in the U.S. that provides a pathway to Division 1 Women’s Professional Soccer (USL Super League). A whopping 80% of female Fortune 500 CEOs played sports in their formative years, emphasizing the profound impact of early exposure to sports on women’s development (UN Women, 2024). Despite this figure, girls drop out of sports by age 14 at twice the rate of boys. Three of the top six reasons have to do with cost, lack of positive role models, and decreased quality of experience due to clubs being more focused on their boys programs (Women’s Sports Foundation, 2024).
We aim to buck the trend by providing girls & young women with:
We field one team per age group for our 11-a-side teams, and are not in the business of having multiple levels per team to collect a substantial amount of player fees. We rely on sponsors, partners and donors to provide the unique soccer club experience we offer. If you’re interested in supporting our club, let’s chat.
Our USL Academy team sits atop our travel teams and beneath our U23 & USL W League team. The team is geared towards elite players within the U15 to U19 age range (2011-2007 birth years). Players are expected to commit to 3-4 sessions per week consisting of on field, recovery, strength/speed, or film. The USL Academy model is unique in the player development landscape with a direct path to Inferno’s senior teams. Find out more on our USL Academy page and USL FAQs page.
The United Soccer League (USL) is the heartbeat of American soccer. Impacting more than 200 communities across the United States, the USL is the first and only soccer organization in the United States to build a youth-to-professional pathway for both men and women within one ecosystem. That structure includes three professional leagues: USL Super League (women), USL Championship (men), and USL League One (men); two pre-professional leagues: USL League Two (men) and the USL W League (women); and two youth platforms: USL Academy and USL Youth.
Travel team tryouts are open to girls and young women from ages U9-19 (2017-2007 birth years) and are taking place at the beginning of April at Kramer Turf Field (Lititz, PA). Find out more on our Youth Tryouts page.
