Proceeds from this event will be used for the general fund of Lancaster Inferno (Inferno Soccer Corp), an approved 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
Your support enables us to continue to provide a comprehensive program to girls and women to build confidence, leadership skills and personal growth through the game of soccer.
A whopping 80% of female Fortune 500 CEOs played sports in their formative years, emphasizing the profound impact of early exposure to sports on women’s development (UN Women, 2024).
Despite this figure, girls drop out of sports by age 14 at twice the rate of boys. Three of the top six reasons have to do with cost, lack of positive role models, and decreased quality of experience due to clubs being more focused on their boys programs (Women’s Sports Foundation, 2024).
We aim to buck the trend by providing girls & young women with:
Lancaster Inferno FC is the only all-girls travel soccer club in Pennsylvania that provides a player pathway from youth to pre-professional. Be part of supporting the powerful impact of sport in the lives of girls and women in our community.
Why a gala – do I have to dress up?
It isn’t a super formal event; you can wear whatever you want. The “semi-formal” guideline is just so people know they don’t have to wear formal wear.
That being said, we believe that this occasion is one worth dressing up for. We are celebrating women in soccer and that deserves the best!
What is on the menu?
The Hors d’oeuvres and dinner are being catered by Rettew’s Catering. The dinner buffet includes a beef carving station, ratatouille, Rettew’s special mashed potatoes and more.
Is there any music?
Is a party a party without it? We are super excited about our DJ, HD Entertainment! They are south central Pennsylvania’s only award-winning all-female DJ company. After dinner and a little soccer talk, you can boogie on the dance floor.
How can I bid on the silent auction?
Our auction is online so everyone can bid even if they can’t make the event. It goes live on Friday, January 24th and we will continue adding items until January 31.
Of course, we encourage you to attend the gala so you can see the auction items in person and enjoy the amazing evening we have planned for you! But if you can’t come, this is the next best thing.
Who are the special guests?
We are honored to have our special guests at the Gala and hope you take advantage of this rare opportunity to meet them.
