Lancaster Inferno FC is Pennsylvania’s only all-girls soccer academy that provides a player pathway from youth to pre-professional. As a female forward soccer academy, we operate under a unified curriculum that aligns coaching and development standards across every age group. Our player-centered approach ensures each athlete is supported, challenged, and developed within a clear pathway. Learn more about our club and its history on our About page.
We are committed to equipping each player with the skills necessary so they can reach their goals through high school, college and professional.
Do you want your daughter to get individual attention? Are you tired of trying to figure out the multiple levels of teams per age group that most clubs have? Join us at Lancaster Inferno FC, where our academy structure allows us to focus on each player’s individual development.
We have a player-centered approach and comprehensive program to not only develop great soccer players, but strong leaders on and off the field. We pride ourselves in our professionalism and fostering a positive, supportive and challenging learning environment. We strive to cultivate a sense of community within the club, where our teams support and cheer one another on as part of the Inferno family.
A whopping 80% of female Fortune 500 CEOs played sports in their formative years, emphasizing the profound impact of early exposure to sports on women’s development (UN Women, 2024). Despite this figure, girls drop out of sports by age 14 at twice the rate of boys. Three of the top six reasons have to do with cost, lack of positive role models, and decreased quality of experience due to clubs being more focused on their boys programs (Women’s Sports Foundation, 2024).
We aim to buck the trend by providing girls & young women with:
We field one team per age group for our 11-a-side teams, and are not in the business of having multiple levels per team to collect a substantial amount of player fees. We rely on sponsors, partners and donors to provide the unique soccer club experience we offer. If you’re interested in supporting our club, let’s chat.
We’re holding tryouts for the the 2026/2027 season. For more information, visit our tryouts page!

Our USL Academy team sits atop our travel teams and beneath our U23 & USL W League team. The team is geared towards elite players within the U15 to U19 age range (2008-2012 birth years). Players are expected to commit to 3-4 sessions per week consisting of on field, recovery, strength/speed, or film. The USL Academy model is unique in the player development landscape with a direct path to Inferno’s senior teams. Find out more on our USL Academy page and USL FAQs page.
The United Soccer League (USL) is the heartbeat of American soccer. Impacting more than 200 communities across the United States, the USL is the first and only soccer organization in the United States to build a youth-to-professional pathway for both men and women within one ecosystem. That structure includes three professional leagues: Gainbridge Super League (women), USL Championship (men), and USL League One (men); two pre-professional leagues: USL League Two (men) and the USL W League (women); and two youth platforms: USL Academy and USL Youth.

Coaches will expose every player to playing in goal. Coaches will begin to track the players that show the basic fundamentals of goalkeeping. They will look for those that appear to enjoy the position, show a natural understanding of the role, and who has consistent performances in making the routine saves. All players in this phase should attend at least one 30 minute keeper specific training session each week. These sessions will focus on the basic fundamentals of handling, footwork, and low/high saves. This phase will allow coaches to identify players that have a natural understanding and enjoyment for the position.
Coaches should begin rotating 2-3 players in goal. These players have shown an express desire to play goal and have demonstrated effectiveness in their performances. Players should attend 1-2 keeper specific training sessions each week. These sessions will work on the basic fundamentals of the position and will begin to enter the more advanced techniques of positioning and diving. This phase will begin to cultivate the love for the position and begin providing an understanding of the skills, tools, and techniques necessary to find success.
Teams will have 2 keepers at the maximum at this stage. Keepers will attend at least 2 keeper specific sessions per week to be exposed to what the keeper training environment is really like. Training sessions will become more advanced in the different techniques (diving, handling, crosses, 1v1s, and set pieces). Sessions will also begin to dive into decision making, positioning, and organizing the defenders. This phase will help our keepers to see the demands of the position and to help determine if this is the path they want to follow.
Keepers at this stage should be attending 3 keeper specific sessions per week. Keepers at this stage are committed to the position. Training sessions will go in depth into all aspects of the position. Sessions will include decision making, communication, team organization, mentality, and more. This phase will allow our keepers to create their style and approach to the position.
