The Lancaster Inferno continued their road trip the day after our hard-fought victory over New England Mutiny, with a Sunday evening game at Long Island. Playing back to back road games affected Inferno’s play but once again the team defended well and thwarted attacks from the Rough Rider offense. On the 47th minute the Rough Riders cleared a cross from the left flank into the box but the clearance landed at the feet of midfielder Teresa Rynier (#25) who placed the ball on the right side of the goal.
The competition in the United Women’s Soccer (UWS) has been rough just as we had expected. Our team has responded to the challenge and continue to focus one game at time.
