2023 First Team Signings – Round 113 Mar 2023Lancaster Inferno is excited to announce the first round of player signings for their 2023 season in the United Women’s Soccer (UWS) national pro-am league. In the first installment, twelve players return to Lancaster Inferno’s First Team. The group consists of current/post college players and two former professionals, Teresa (Rynier) Rook and Elizabeth Wenger, who are also coaches in Lancaster Inferno FC’s all-girls travel soccer club.

This past season in UWS was one of measured & sustained growth, as 49 teams competed within 9 divisions across the United States and Canada.
2022 UWS East Conference Awards08-25-2022The United Women’s Soccer East Conference provided high-level entertainment throughout the season, with three competitive division races ensuring playoff berths came down to the wire. Ultimately, FC Buffalo emerged as the conference’s champion for the first time, thanks to Offensive Player of the Year Carissima Cutrona and Coach of the Year Nikki Bartholomew. Rochester Lancers’ Katie Cappelletti claimed the award for the conference’s best goalkeeper, while Marcela Robinson of Coppermine United emerged as the Defender of the Year.
