Inferno Hosts East Conference Championship Playoff Game

LANCASTER, PA – Inferno Rush has clinched the top spot in the Eastern Conference of the UWS* and will be hosting the playoff game for the East Conference Championship at 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 17th. The match will be played at Millersville University’s Pucillo Field. United Women’s Soccer (UWS) is a national pro-am league featuring current/post collegiate players & aspiring/former professionals.

Inferno’s opponent is TBD as the Eastern Conference teams wrap up their regular season games July 14-15th. Typically, the competition is tight and this year is no exception. There are currently five teams in close contention for the second-place spot in regular league games:

• Western NY Flash is currently in second place with 15 points and one game remaining.
• Long Island Rough Riders has 14 points and will be playing their final game of the season vs Inferno Rush at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 14th at Manheim Township HS.
• New England Mutiny is tied with the Rough Riders at 14 points with one game remaining.
• Rochester Lancers are also tied with the Rough Riders and Mutiny at 14 points with one game remaining.
• Connecticut Fusion has 13 points but they have two more games so could finish in second-place.

If Inferno Rush comes out on top of the playoff game, they will be in the National Championship Tournament on July 21st and 22nd. The tournament will be aired live via mycujoo.tv.

ADMISSION: $5 (ages 5 & up) – available at stadium entrance. Youth Club Partners (Ephrata Youth Soccer Club, Panthers United SA, Penn Manor SC & Susquehanna SC) receive FREE ADMISSION (with a pass) for all players and coaches.

*United Women’s Soccer (UWS) is a national women’s soccer league sanctioned by U.S. Soccer. UWS is a professionally operated league created for teams that meet high minimum standards. The season runs from May until the end of July, culminating in a National Championship match. The UWS player pool is comprised of college players, aspiring & former professionals and international stars.
