Inferno Wins First Game of Doubleheader Weekend

ROCHESTER, NY – Inferno Rush defeated the Rochester Lancers 3-1 today at Marina Auto Stadium. The Lancers were first to score in the 27th minute as Brooke Brobuto made her way past the defensive line. The Inferno fired back in the 38th minute with a goal by Haley Crawford on an assist from Ashley Chilcoat. Two minutes later, Crawford scored her second goal of the match, and sixth of the season, off a cross from Kendra Jones. Inferno entered the second half with a 2-1 lead. Both teams battled to the end, and in the 91st minute, Ryelle Shuey scored to secure the win.

Inferno Rush (6-2-0) faces the WNY Flash (5-3-0) for their second match of their weekend on the road. The Flash is coming off a 2-1 loss to the Connecticut Fusion on Saturday.
