Inferno Rush clinch top spot in East Conference

BUFFALO, NY – Inferno Rush defeated the WNY FLASH 4-2 on Sunday at D’Youville College. With the victory, Inferno Rush has clinched the top spot in the Eastern Conference and will host the East Conference Championship Game on Tuesday, July 17th, 7pm at Millersville University Pucillo Field.

After scoring twice in Saturday’s win over Rochester Lancers, Haley Crawford, was back for more on Sunday. She scored in the 11th minute, assisted by Teresa Rook (Rynier). WNY Flash striked back in the 35th minute, making it 1-1 at halftime.

Inferno Rush came back in the second half with three more goals by Crawford. The JMU striker had goals in the 47th minute (assist by Tesa McKibben), 51st minute (assist by Megan Carroll), and the 55th minute (assist by Kay Liebl). The Flash scored in the 89th minute. Haley Crawford has a total of 9 goals in a four game stretch, and is tied for second for highest points in the UWS national league.

Next up, Inferno Rush (7-2-0) hosts the LI Rough Riders (4-3-2) on July 14th at Manheim Township H.S.
