Inferno Posts 6-0 Shutout Win Against Virginia Marauders FC Saturday   

Kayla Keefer Tallies Two Goals for Second-Straight Game

Lancaster, PA – Lancaster Inferno has won three-straight games as they secured a 6-0 win over Marauders FC Saturday night at Warwick High School. With this win, the Inferno have snapped the Marauders’ three-game win streak. 

Inferno Head Coach Stephanie Cleaves’ starting 11 included Carly Keene (Penn Manor HS/Lehigh), Jessica Weinoldt (Hempfield HS/McDaniel), Ryelle Shuey (ELCO HS/Lehigh), Jackie Richards (Exeter HS/Villanova), Teresa Rook (JMU/Ottawa Fury), Rachel Eberly (Cocalico HS/George Mason), Maddie Levy (Manheim Central HS/WVU), Rachel Ludwick (York Suburban HS/Monmouth), Kayla Keefer (Central Columbia HS/Ole Miss) and Marissa DiGenova (Temple alum/Caribbean Stars) with Ellie Breech (Cumberland Valley HS/Pitt) in goal. The Inferno offense was on fire all night long. Maddie Levy scored first off of an assist from Kayla Keefer and then Keefer scored two of her own one directly after the other with assists from Teresa Rook and Marissa DiGenova. This is Keefer’s second-straight game with two goals. Marissa DiGenova soon scored a goal of her own with help from Carolyn Hinkle and, later in the game, Carly Keene and Annabelle Wunderlich got in on the action, recording one goal each. Ellie Breech had some exceptional saves in net to keep the Marauders quiet.
