“Some of my most rewarding moments as a coach were had while coaching the youngest age groups,” said U9-13 Youth Director Kenny Archer. “I have tried to explain this feeling to so many people, but you just have to experience it. When you teach younger players, day in and day out, the technical skills they need to succeed in this game, they often struggle at first. They may struggle for a while. But then, all of a sudden, things start to develop and they make a beautiful pass, execute a move, or slide out wide at the right time. Whatever it might be, that moment gives me goosebumps. It is that feeling that fuels my passion for coaching. I am excited to be able to help others find this same passion and understanding of development.”
Kenny had a successful playing career at Penn State University – Berks, where he was EPCC All Conference Goalkeeper and led the team to the Conference Championship and Semifinal. He holds his USSF National D License and the NSCAA Advanced National License. Kenny also holds a BS in Psychology from Penn State, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from West Chester University, and a Coaching Psychology Certificate from the University of Colorado.
