Lancaster, PA – Lancaster Inferno is proud to announce that former standout Taylor Mentzer has signed her first professional contract, becoming the latest player to progress through the club’s pathway to the professional game.
Mentzer, who competed with Inferno from 2022–2024, has signed with Logan Lightning FC for the 2026 Football Queensland Premier League 1 season in Queensland, Australia.
Over three seasons with Lancaster Inferno, Mentzer made a lasting impact, tallying 13 goals and 1 assist while playing a key role in multiple playoff runs.
“Inferno has been a huge part of my growth, as a player and as a person,” said Mentzer. “The coaches consistently pushed me to raise my standards and compete at a high level. Through the environment they created, like challenging training sessions, strong team culture, and constant support, I learned what it takes to prepare and perform at the next level. I’m very grateful for my time with Inferno and the role the club played in preparing me for this next step in my career.”

Mentzer also excelled at the NCAA Division I level with UNC Greensboro, where she played 64 career matches, tallying 13 goals and 4 assists.
Some of her achievements include:
A Reading, PA native, Mentzer developed locally at the youth level with FC Revolution and Exeter Township High School before advancing to Division I soccer, Lancaster Inferno, and now the professional ranks.
Her signing reflects Lancaster Inferno’s continued commitment to providing a platform for players to develop, compete, and advance to the highest levels of the game.
