U.S. Soccer Grassroots Course

Lancaster Inferno to host coaching course this March

Lancaster, PA — Lancaster Inferno is proud to host a U.S. Soccer Coaching Course in conjunction with Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) this March. The in-person course will be held on March 9, 2024 from 12:00 PM-4:00 PM at Listrak (Lititz, PA).

The 9v9 Grassroots Course is a four-hour course that builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching  Module. Specifically, coaches will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 10-12. The course will also ask each coach to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth in the Six Tasks (Coaching Games, Coaching Training Sessions, Leading the Team, Leading the Player, Managing the Performance Environment, and Leadership).

The course is led by U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coach Educator/Lancaster Inferno Youth Technical Director, Wendell Hannaford.

Eligibility Requirements: In order to register for the 9v9 In-Person Course, candidates must be at least 16 years old and have completed U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching module.
