MATCHDAY PREVIEW: Lancaster Inferno vs Virginia Marauders FC 

Friday, June 13, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. EST, Lancaster Inferno hosts Virginia Marauders Football Club at Clipper Magazine Stadium – Penn Medicine Park for Disco Inferno Night. The game will be streamed live on SportsEngine here in English.

Matchup 

Lancaster’s last game was a 1-3 loss at home to Virginia Marauders FC. Up and coming high school talent Mackenzie Mentzer scored for Lancaster Inferno late in the second half while forwards Hunter Rosenburg and Morgan Paris, alongside midfielder Mia Arevalo, secured the win for the visitors. 

Marauders won their last game 2-0 against Patuxent Football Athletics. Defender Mallory Harminson and midfielder Marcella Viana ensured another win for the Marauders at home. 

Inferno faced Marauders on June 1, 2024, earning a 6-0 win—returning midfielder Annabelle Wunderlich scoring the sixth goal within regulation. 

Lancaster Inferno is currently in fourth place with a 1-3-0 (W-L-T) record. Marauders sit at third with a 3-1-0 record. 

New Kids on The Block 

Lancaster Inferno has added a total of 10 new players to their 2025 roster including Jamaican 

Women’s National Team Players Gabrielle Gayle and Ricshya Walker, along with two high 

school standouts Mackenzie Mentzer who is verbally committed to East Carolina University, 

and Giuliana Meyer who plays for the Trinidad & Tobago U17 WNT. 

During the 2024 season, Pittsburgh University goalkeeper Elliott Breech stood in goal alongside returning goalkeeper Riley Houck. Inferno has signed Temple University graduate Kamryn Stablein who held first place in the American Athletic Conference for most saves. 

Upcoming Events 

Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. EST, Lancaster Inferno hosts Patuxent Football Club at Clipper Magazine Stadium – Penn Medicine Park in celebration of Father’s Day. The game will be streamed live on SportsEngine here in English. For more event details click here

Inferno kicked off the beginning of the USL W League season with a 4-0 win against Patuxent FC with midfielder Carsyn Boyer, forwards Lydia Gable and Mackenzie Mentzer, and defender Ryelle Shuey securing Inferno first win of the season. 

Patuxent FC is currently in fifth place with a 0-6-0 record.
