MATCHDAY PREVIEW: Lancaster Inferno vs Patuxent Football Club

Inferno kicked off the beginning of the USL W League season with a 4-0 win against Patuxent FC with midfielder Carsyn Boyer, forwards Lydia Gable and Mackenzie Mentzer, and defender Ryelle Shuey securing Inferno first win of the season. 

Patuxent is sitting in fifth place with a 0-6-0 (W-L-T) record. They last played on June 11, 2025, falling to Northern Virginia FC 9-0 with forwards Ava Galligan and Mckenna Newcome securing a hat-trick within the first half. 

Lancaster is in fourth place with a 2-3-0 record.

Originally from Denver, Pennsylvania, midfielder Rachel Eberly leads Inferno as one of three captains on the squad. One of 10 returning players from the 2024 season, Eberly has become a part of the Inferno backbone within the midfield over her last four years on the squad.
