MATCHDAY RECAP: Lancaster Inferno 2, Eagle FC 2

June 21, 2025 — Lancaster Inferno tied Eagle FC 2-2 on the road to finish out their three game match-up during the 2025 USL W League season.

Within the first five minutes of the game Inferno stole the lead off of a free kick taken by Rachel Eberly who found Sonya Franklin. Franklin flicked the ball backwards to midfielder Lydia Gable and put it past Eagle FC goalkeeper Olivia Riddel.

The rest of the half remained scoreless, but both teams produced dangerous opportunities. Eagle FC midfielder Maddie Levi took a long distance shot on target forcing goalkeeper Kamryn Stablein to make a save.

In the 65th minute Eagle FC tied the game 1-1 on a free kick that found midfielder Hayley Howard on the back post. Lancaster responded five minutes later with a goal from substitute Guilana Meyer—assisted by Carsyn Boyer.

Inferno continued to fight for three points on the road when in the 94th minute Eagle FC was awarded a penalty kick. Despite going the right way, Emily Banashefski put it past Kamryn Stablein.

While the result was not with Inferno had fought or hoped for, they walked away with one point on the road.
