MATCHDAY RECAP: Lancaster Inferno 1, Virginia Marauders FC 0

June 24, 2025 —  Lancaster Inferno moved into third place within the Mid-Atlantic division after beating Virginia Marauders FC 1-0 on the road with goal scorer Jessica Weinoldt finding the back of the net in the 45th minute. 

In the late minutes of the first half, Lydia Gable took advantage of a throw-in within the Marauders defensive third. Despite Marauder’s defense winning the ball out of the air, it fell to defender Jessica Weinoldt’s who placed it in the upper left hand corner. 

With her second start of the season, goalkeeper Riley Houck recorded 5 saves in the second half and earned a clean sheet.

Inferno has moved up to third place overall within the Mid-Atlantic division with a record of 4-4-1 (W-L-T).

Last Game of The Season 

Lancaster Inferno will face Northern Virginia FC who is currently in second place with a 6-2-1 record. The last game of the season will be held at Penn Medicine Park on June 29, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. EST. The game will be streamed here in English.
