MATCHDAY RECAP: Lancaster Inferno 2, Northern Virginia FC 3 

June 29, 2025 — Lancaster Inferno fell to Northern Virginia FC at home 2-3 with goals scored by forward Anouk Landgroff and player of the match Carsyn Boyer. In what was an unfavorable outcome, Inferno’s performance made a strong statement towards where they are heading in the USL W League. 

In light of Northern Virginia FC forward Milica Bulatovia producing the first goal of the game, Inferno had eleven total shots on goal with 45% of those shots being on target. These efforts awarded Inferno a goal from forward Anouk Landgroff in the 14th minute off of a service from forward Carsyn Boyor. 

In the 30th minute Northern Virginia FC attempted to take the lead with a low and driven shot that goalkeeper Kamryn Stablein saved. Stablein finished her first season in the USL W League with a total of 17 saves, putting her in fourth place for total saves within the Mid-Atlantic Division. 

Northern Virginia FC scored in the 57th and 71st minute—putting Inferno in a two goal deficit. Inferno forward Caryson Boyer placed it past goalkeeper Katelyn Holt in the 87th minute, and out shot Northern Virginia FC 22 to 16 total shots. Despite 

Inferno’s efforts, the game ended 2-3—awarding Northern Virginia FC the three points. 

Inferno finished their 2025 USL W League season with a 4-5-1 (W-L-T) record, number one overall in total shots, number one overall for shots on target, and secured third place within the Mid-Atlantic Division.
