Cleaves Enters Second Season as Inferno’s First Team Head Coach 

New Assistant Coach Adam Morris and Staff Ready for Inaugural Season in the USL W League

Lancaster, PA – Lancaster Inferno is thrilled to announce the 2024 coaching staff who will lead the First Team in their inaugural season in the USL W League. This will be the club’s 10th year operating as a pre-professional women’s soccer team and is Pennsylvania’s only all-girls travel soccer club that provides a player pathway from youth to pro-am. 

Stephanie Cleaves, former Inferno First Team player and assistant coach, returns for her second season as Head Coach after being named the 2023 UWS East Conference Coach of the Year and recently earning her USSF B License. Last season, Cleaves and her staff led the Inferno to a UWS East Conference Championship title and a trip to the National Championship Tournament in Santa Clarita, CA. 

Cleaves will retain a similar coaching staff from the previous 2023 season with Assistant Coach Wendell Hannaford entering his 4th season and also serving as the Head Coach of the U23 Team First Team / U23 / U20 Goalkeeper Coach Kenny Archer returns for his 3rd season along with Chris Weibel who will spend his 10th season as Performance Coach / First Team Assistant Coach. 

Former U20 Assistant and Current Youth Club Coach Adam Morris is set to join the staff for the 2024 season. Coach Morris is a former professional soccer player that has over 20 years of coaching experience, and holds his UEFA C License. Inferno opens the season on the road this Sunday, May 19th against Eagle FC at Mountain View Middle School in Mechanicsburg. The rest of the 2024 season schedule can be accessed HERE.
