Lancaster Inferno Player Ricshya Walker Signs First Professional Contract

Lancaster, PA — Lancaster Inferno is proud to announce that forward Ricshya Walker has signed her first professional contract with Sporting FC in Costa Rica’s Women’s First Division, marking the next step in her playing career.

Walker, a member of the Jamaica Women’s National Team, has represented her country since 2023. She has earned eight caps and scored one goal for Jamaica at the international level.

Impact with Lancaster Inferno

Walker made an immediate impact during her time with Lancaster Inferno in the USL W League, recording two goals and two assists in eight appearances before being called into national team duty.

“I’m grateful for my experience and opportunity with Lancaster Inferno,” said Ricshya Walker. “It was a great environment that helped me continue to develop and ultimately get to where I am today.”

Collegiate Career

Walker spent her senior season at the University of New Hampshire, appearing in 16 matches with 14 starts. She finished second on the team in goals (5) and points (13), while adding three assists and earning Athlete of the Week twice.

Prior to UNH, she played three seasons at La Salle University, appearing in 48 matches with 35 starts. During her career with the Explorers, she recorded 10 goals and three assists and earned Second Team All–Atlantic 10 honors in 2023. As a freshman, she was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team.

From Local Development to the Professional Game

A Philadelphia, PA native, Walker developed at the youth level with PDA and attended Parkway Center City Middle College before advancing to Division I soccer and now the professional ranks.

Her signing reflects Lancaster Inferno’s continued commitment to providing a platform for players to develop, compete, and advance to the highest levels of the game.
